Hector has over 20 years experience in the software development industry, both globally and in Mexico, encompassing a deep knowledge of telecom and banking industries. Mr. Teran graduated from Monterrey Tec. He also completed a master’s degree at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City and taught Language Theory, Discrete Mathematics, and Compilers. Hector has extensive experience working with U.S. based software development teams and spent significant time in Dallas and Oklahoma. Early in his career, Hector was one of the founders of a software development company called Programas Ingenieria y Computadores, which he helped grow from inception to over $2 million in annual revenues. During the past eight years, Mr. Teran served as a senior software development manager for Sigma Tao Software, one of the leading software development companies in Mexico. He successfully managed a variety of projects, mainly focused on telecom network management. He also played a leading role in establishing best processes and software development practices that allowed Sigma Tao to attain the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute CMMI level 5. Mr. Teran holds a PMP certification granted by the Project Management Institute and currently resides in the City of Queretaro in Central Mexico. Mr. Teran is currently a member of the advisory board of the Computer Science program at Monterrey Tech campus Queretaro.Mr. Teran serves as Vice President & General Manager of Software Next Door’s Operations. He is responsible for implementing the best recruiting and screening processes to ensure SND project teams are staffed with top-level personnel, develops strategies to enable SND to work on projects that take advantage of the company’s Mexican based resources, and implements and oversees development operations to ensure projects are on schedule and completed within budget and time constraints.
